The Portsmouth Democratic Town Committee’s Annual Fundraiser is scheduled for Sunday, August 27 from 1–4 pm.

 

The event will take place at the Common Fence Point Community Hall, 933 Anthony Road, Portsmouth.


Open to the public, the fundraiser features an afternoon of opportunities to chat with local and state politicians while enjoying some delicious Becky's BBQ. There will be hot dogs and chips for kids as well as a vegetarian option. Tickets are $25 per adult, (ticketsat the door may be limited), and $10 for children under 10 years of age.

Tickets may be purchased at Allen’s Wine and Spirits (3001 East Main Road, Portsmouth) Ferreira’s Package Store (1965 E Main Rd, Portsmouth) or online here.
 

Yes, this is a fund-raiser as well as a fun-raiser to energize volunteers, voters, and

activists for the 2024 campaign. Invited speakers include Sens. Jack Reed, Sheldon

Whitehouse, and candidates for state and federal offices. You won't want to miss the

chance to chat with local Dems, and to help raise money for local elections.

It's not just about the food, as in previous years there's a 50/50 raffle, with tickets

$1/each or 6 for $5. Last year’s winner went home with over $500! Proceeds from the

event go to the Portsmouth Democratic Town Committee.


The Portsmouth Democratic Town Committee was established to uphold and to

advance the principles of the Democratic Party within the Town of Portsmouth. The

primary goal of the Town Committee is the election and appointment of qualified

Democrats to offices, commissions, committees and boards in the Town of Portsmouth,

and the State of Rhode Island.
