​Moving Portsmouth Forward

I’m running for re-election to the Portsmouth Town Council because I believe our community deserves leaders who are ready to make decisions, solve problems, and deliver results.

​

For the past eight years, I’ve had the privilege of serving Portsmouth, first for six years on the School Committee, including four as Vice Chair, and now on the Town Council. That experience has given me firsthand insight into our schools, our municipal government, our finances, and the challenges we need to tackle together.

​

And I’m more convinced than ever that Portsmouth’s best days are ahead of us, but only if we’re willing to keep moving forward.

​

That means investing in excellent public schools and addressing the long-term needs of our school facilities.

​

It means fixing our roads, strengthening our infrastructure, and making sure the basic services residents depend on are delivered effectively.

​

It means supporting our small businesses and pursuing smart economic development that strengthens our tax base while protecting Portsmouth's character.

​

It means planning responsibly for the future rather than waiting until today's challenges become tomorrow's crises.

​

And it means doing all of this while respecting the taxpayers who make these investments possible.

​

I believe fiscal responsibility and progress go hand in hand. Being responsible with taxpayer dollars doesn’t mean refusing to invest in our community. It means making smart investments, demanding value for every dollar, planning for the long term, and being transparent about the decisions we make.

​

I also believe Portsmouth needs a Town Council focused on governing, not gridlock.

​

We won’t always agree, and we shouldn’t expect to, but disagreement cannot be an excuse for inaction. Leadership means listening to residents, considering the facts, making decisions and sticking to them, and working together to get the job done.

That is the kind of leadership I have tried to bring to the Council, and it is the kind of leadership I will continue to provide.

There is important work ahead. We need to strengthen our schools, modernize aging facilities and infrastructure, support a vibrant local economy, protect what makes Portsmouth special, and ensure that town government remains transparent, accountable, and responsive to the people it serves.

I’m running for re-election because I’m ready to keep doing that work.

I believe in Portsmouth. I believe in what we can accomplish together.
